Qatar Foundation Triathlon Series - Sponsored by GMC

The next and final triathlon of the season will take place at the Qatar Foundation Education City Recreation Centre Friday 4th May 2018 starting at 6.30am sharp (Registration opens at 5.30am.) The course invovles using the 50m indoor pool for the swim, with the bike and run course on closed internal roads around Education City.

The Qatar Foundation Triathlon caters for all ages and levels of triathlete, from the complete beginner finding their legs to more experienced triathlons wanting to stretch themselves on the sprint course.

Kids and Junior Individual Distances:

Mini-Kids (3-6) Free Duathlon or running event (100m run, 100m bike, 100m run) 
Kids 1 (7-9) 100m swim, 3km bike, 1.25km run
Kids 2 (10-11) 200m swim, 5km bike, 1.25km run
Kids 3 (12-13) 200m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run
Junior (14-15) 200m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run

Adult Individual Distances
Beginners 200m swim, 5km bike, 1.25km run
Super Sprint 200m swim, 10km bike, 2.5km run
Sprint 500m swim, 20km bike, 5km run 

Team Relay Distances (2 or 3 members per team)
Team Relay 500m swim, 20km bike, 5km run

All participants receive a race giveaway at registration and a finishers medal.

The race is timed by the use of a mylaps prochip timing system. Each participant will be provided a chip for use at the race. A Qatar ID card or 500 QAR must be left as safety deposit to ensure return.
Finishers will be provided with water on the run course and refreshments at the finish line

Awards and Podium Presentation

At the end of the race each, first three places for each gender are awarded winners medals at the podium for the following categories:

Individual: Kids 1, Kids 2, Kids 3, Junior, Sprint – Open (16-39 years old), Sprint – Veteran (40+ years)
