Our Activities

TriClub Doha has something for all triathlete and multi-sport athletes. From 12 races at Qatar Foundation, 20+ free timed club races and 5 free professionally coached training sessions, TriClub offers over 30 timed events and over 250 free training sessions during the season. 

Here is a detailed overview of all our activities.

  • Generic plan for Tri Club Members.
  • Follow periodiztion - 3 weeks of intensity - 1 week recovery. 
  • First period will be the ”preparation phase” (6 weeks-since beginning of September). Focus will be on building up general fitness.
  • This period follows with ”pre-competiton” (4 weeks)phase where focus will be on techniques, skills, power and aerobic endurance.
  • During the ”Competiton” phase (5 weeks) and the first part of it we will focus on ”latctate tolerance ” = STME (short term muscular endurance) and the second part before the main competiton ”Al Ghariya Triathlon” we will try to find the speed in our legs and bodies.

Qatar Academy

Swim, Bike & Run races using QF's 50m pool. Primarily a Sprint Distance event with a 500m swim, 20km bike and 5km run with beginners and junior distances starting from 7 years old. Race as individuals and as a team. A mini-kids duathlon (run-bike-run) is available for 3-7 year olds.

Swim & Run races using QF's 50m pool. Sprint distance race of 500m and 5km run, with beginners and junior distances starting from 7 years old. Race as individuals or as a team. A mini-kids aquathlon is available for kids 3-7 years old that are able to swim unaided.

QF Junior Duathlon Series

Oxygen Park
Run, Bike, Run event aimed at Juniors from 3 years old up to 16 years.

Untimed mini-kids event for 3 to 6 year olds. Finisher medals for all.

MIA Park

Free monthly swim and run timed events open to all club members. No sign up is required, just show up with
your mylaps timing chip and your time will be recorded. Not a strict race, but a chance to check your progress in the season, relative to your prior events and your peers, followed by a members social breakfast

Club Duathlon

QCF Huts Losail

Free monthly Run-Bike-Run normally on a Monday evening but there will also be to cycled unaided on quiet public roads. Typical distance is 2.5km run / 20km bike / 2.5km although different formats and distances take place. This is not a strict race but a chance to review your program and times with some friendly competition from other members

Off Road Triathlon

Fuwarit Beach
Triathlon with a twist. 1.5km Open water swim in pristine clear water, followed by a 20km mountain bike course over rocks and sand, followed by a 5km run on the sand. Free timed event for members. Beginners distances and kids aquathon options.

Club Championship

Every race at QF and every club duathlon and club aquathlon is a chance to earn points which accrue towards the Club Championship, the club's frequent flyer program. Members that participates in enough races, and volunteers at least once during the season, can earn a beautiful club championship trophy as a souvenir for the season, awarded at the end of season Iftar in June

One hour coached swim training at QF's 50m pool. We rent one lane at 5pm with coaching geared for kids and juniors but open to everyone and 2 lanes at 7pm. QAR20 contribution required from members to cover the cost of lane hire (buy a card for QAR100 to cover 5 sessions)

Wednesday Bike
Losail Circuit
From September to May the Losail Moto GP circuit opens from 5pm to 8.30pm for cycling and running. TriClub offers a coached biking session, typically starting at 6.30pm, often followed by a running session

Friday Pearl Group Ride
Isola Dana
Mosque, Pearl

1-2 hour social group (or individual) riding over a 6.5km loop around the Pearl Viva Bahriya area starting around 6am-7am. Suitable for all levels; Juniors need to be supervised by parents

Friday Long Group Ride

Join TriClub Doha's Black Spade Troopers for a 2-3 hour ride for intermediate and experienced riders who want to do 60-90km. This group leaves earlier from the Pearl and heads north past Lusail City, with a support car, where stay and do multiple 8km loops. Supported by Burdda Sport and Black Spade Racing

Saturday Open Water Swim Run Breakfast

MIA Park
One hour coached open water swim training, followed by up to one hour of run training immediately afterwards. Often followed by a social members breakfast (if taking place at Intercontinental Doha or Sharq Village Hotel. Juniors need to be supervised by parents.
